Where Wildflowers Bloom is a story shaped by my teenage years in Mauritius — a place that left a lasting imprint on me, the island’s beauty, its rhythms, and the intensity of being sixteen in such a vivid landscape all found their way into the novel. While the book is entirely fictional, it carries the emotional truth of that time in my life: the sense of wonder, the confusion, the thrill of discovering who you are.
The characters and events are imagined, but the atmosphere is drawn from memory — the warm winds, the hidden coves, the feeling that the world was opening for the first time. I wanted to capture that sense of possibility, that wild, blooming energy that comes with youth.
As I move through the publishing process, I’ll be sharing more glimpses into the world of the book — its setting, themes, and inspirations. Check back often; there’s more unfolding every week.
